Don’t you just love a fun and colorful bracelet? I think these pipe cleaner bracelets make the perfect accessory and I enjoy them even more when I make them myself!
You can make these pretty bracelets with only a long pipe cleaner and beads. They are endlessly customizable because you get to select the colors of the pipe cleaners and the beads.
Give your personality a chance to shine on this project! This is a great one to do with kids.
If you have little ones that need to work on their fine motor skills, this craft will help. Between threading beads onto the bracelet and twisting the pipe cleaner, tiny hands will get lots of practice.
These simple yet beautiful bracelets come together quickly. Let’s go over the simple steps below so that you can make your own!
Supplies You’ll Need
- 3 x long pipe cleaners (11″)
- 5x beads (6mm with 2mm hole)
How to Make Pipe Cleaner Bracelets
Step 1. Grab your pipe cleaners and carefully position them so that the ends of all three are lined up. Now, twist them together so that they are intertwined.
You should continue twisting until about a 2.5” section of your pipe cleaners is twisted together.
Step 2. Get your pretty beads and place one onto the middle pipe cleaner. Make sure that you push the bead all the way down.
Step 3. Now, take all three of your pipe cleaners and hold them together. Create an oval shape with the pipe cleaners.
The oval should encircle your bead.
Step 4. It is time to twist those pipe cleaners again! This time, twist all three pipe cleaners around the bead two times.
Step 5. Now, we will repeat what we have just done a few more times. So, place another bead on the middle pipe cleaner, create your oval shape around that bead, and twist all three pipe cleaners around that bead two times.
Step 6. You should keep repeating these steps until you have enough beads to make a bracelet. I have used five beads, but small children may only require three or four, depending on the size of their hands.
Step. 7 You are almost finished with your bracelet! Finish it up by twisting the ends just like we did to start making the bracelet.
Again, this twisted section should be about 2.5” long.
Step 8. Create a circle by putting the two ends of your bracelet together.
Step 9. This is when you should measure your hand to ensure that you will have a perfect fit for your wrist. Now, start twisting the two ends of your bracelet together to close it up.
Step 10. Continue twisting the ends of your bracelet over each other until your bracelet is closed. Now, you have a gorgeous new accessory to wear!
