No Sew Sock Worms

How cute are these sock worms? I think these no sew sock worms are just adorable!
The best part is that these are super easy to make and require zero sewing! You will only need a few basic materials including socks (of course), scissors, a hot glue gun, elastic hair ties, pom poms, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and pillow stuffing.
These would be great added to tables at a kid’s birthday party or included in goodie bags. They are also just a super cute little gift for any little one.

Supplies You’ll Need
- 1 sock*
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Elastics**
- 2x Pom poms
- Googly eyes
- 2x Pipe cleaner 12″ long**
- Pillow stuffing
* The sock should be plain and have no pattern.
**Ideally, these should be the same color as the sock.
How to Make No Sew Sock Worms
Step 1. Let’s start making our worms by creating the head. To do this, put some pillow stuffing inside the opening of the sock.
Step 2. Next, we will create the shape of a head by making a ball. To make your worm’s round head, you will need one of your elastic ties.
Form the stuffed part of the sock into a round ball and secure it by tying your elastic around it.
Step 3. When you are done making your head, you should have a stuffed ball at the top of your sock and the rest should be flat, as shown.
Step 4. Now, we will continue to make the rest of our worm’s body by adding more stuffed balls all the way down the sock. To start, add some more stuffing and push it up so that it is below the round head.
Form it into a ball shape using your hands. Then, get another elastic and secure your second ball by wrapping the elastic around.
When you are finished with this step, you should have two balls. One will be the head and the second one will be the first part of your worm’s body.
Step 5. Let’s continue creating our sock worms by adding more balls in the same way. Add your stuffing for each ball, then form a ball shape using your hands, and secure your ball with an elastic tie.
The amount of balls that you will need to make depends on how large your sock is. I needed to make 6 balls in total for the size of my sock.
Step 6. Now, let’s get started on the finishing touches. Grab one of your pipe cleaners and cut it into 5 pieces.
Step 7. Wrap each piece around the elastic to conceal the elastic. Secure it by twisting the ends.
Step 8. Leave the first elastic (the one securing the head) uncovered.
Step 9. Now, get your second long pipe cleaner and wrap it over the head elastic and then twist it a few times so that the elastic is covered.
Begin to roll one end of the pipe cleaner into a spiral shape.
Step 10. Do the same with the other end of the pipe cleaner as shown.
Step 11. Now, get your glue gun and use it to attach a pom pom to the spiral part one of the antennae.
Step 12. Add another pom pom to the other spiral shape.
Step 13. Use your glue gun to attach one of the googly eyes.
Step 14. Now, attach the other eye. Your no sew sock worm is complete!
How Long Do These No Sew Sock Worms Take to Make?
This easy craft is super quick. Between the stuffing and assembling the features, the entire project will be complete in about 10-15 minutes.
