Popsicle Tissue Paper Craft

These bold and colorful popsicles are the perfect summer craft. Kids will love making these popsicle tissue paper crafts with you.

These are easy to make with only a few materials that you probably already have at home. You will need popsicle sticks, paper, a glue stick, a marker, scissors, and tissue paper.

One thing I love about this project is that it truly encourages creativity. I love the way the tissue paper looks on the popsicles, but you can use other materials to decorate your popsicles as well.

You can use stickers, adhesive crystals, markers, crayons, paint, etc. The possibilities are endless!

They would be a great summer camp craft. You could even make them with your little ones at the end of summer as a “goodbye to summer” project.

This project allows children to get super creative. They will enjoy playing with colors and textures to create their own unique popsicle!

How to Make Popsicle Tissue Paper Craft

Step 1. First, we need to get the shape of the popsicles. To do this, outline a popsicle shape on the paper.

I made three of them so that I can create different designs on each one.

Step 2. Now, get your scissors and cut out your popsicles.

Step 3. It’s time to use your decorating supplies. I have used tissue paper to add pizzaz and texture to my popsicles. I will show you three different design ideas.

Feel free to use other materials, including pencils, markers, stickers, paint, pom poms, and more. This project allows you to truly unleash your creativity and make something unique!

Step 4. For my first popsicle, I am using tissue paper strips. If you want to recreate this design, you can cut out a few strips of tissue paper, glue them onto your popsicle horizontally, and scrunch them up.

Step 5. You can see how much texture the scrunched tissue paper adds to the popsicle.

Step 6. For my next popsicle, I am using different shapes and sizes to add visual interest. To do this for your own popsicle, cut your tissue paper into random shapes and uneven pieces.

Step 7. Now, start to glue them onto your popsicle in whatever pattern you would like. Feel free to allow them to overlap.

Step 8. The finished design is beautiful and looks like a mosaic.

Step 9. For my last popsicle, I am using dots. To get this look for your own popsicle, start by cutting out squares of colorful tissue paper.

Now, roll them into dots.

Step 10. Glue the dots onto your popsicle.

Step 11. These are three beautiful examples of how you can design your own colorful popsicle. Have fun getting creative!

Step 12. It is time to attach your popsicle stick. Get your glue stick.

Step 13. Attach your popsicle to the back of your decorated popsicle.

Step 14. Your sweet popsicle craft is now complete!

How Long Do These Popsicles Take to Make?

You will be able to make these adorable popsicles fairly quickly. It should only take about 15 minutes to create your own popsicle craft.

Keep in mind that if you are making this alongside a little one, it might take a little bit more time. Kids might take some time deciding on the colors and design of their popsicles.

It will also take tiny hands a little bit longer to draw, cut, and glue. Still, this is an excellent quick craft for adults and kiddos alike!
