**if you are making only one colour of moon sand, then you need just one big bowl
How to Make Fairy Playdough
Step 1. Let’s start making our fairy playdough by getting your cornstarch. Measure out 2.5 cups and add them to a large bowl.
Step 2. Now, get your scented conditioner. Measure out 1 cup of conditioner and pour it into the bowl with your cornstarch.
Step 3. Next, use your spoon to mix the cornstarch and the scented conditioner together. If you are only making one color of fairy playdough, you can also add your food coloring now.
If you want to make multiple colors, hold off on adding the food coloring for now. We will do it later.
Step 4. Once the mixture is starting to come together, put down your spoon and use your hands instead. Combine all the ingredients well and check the consistency.
It should be silky and stretchy but not sticky. If you find that your fairy playdough is too sticky, add more cornstarch to dry it out a little bit.
If you find that your fairy playdough is too dry, add some more scented conditioner.
Step 5. If you are making different colors, divide your playdough now. I made two different colors, so I split the dough into two pieces and placed them in two different mixing bowls.
If you are making three colors, split your playdough into 3 pieces and add them to 3 different bowls. You can also add your food coloring at this time.
Step 6. Use your hands to mix the food coloring into the playdough.
Step 7. If your food coloring is strong, you might want to use gloves while you mix it to avoid staining your hands.
Step 8. Your fairy playdough is ready! To store, place it in an airtight container or plastic bag.
If it starts to dry out, add a little bit of conditioner and mix well with your hands. It should provide plenty of enjoyment for a few months.
Have fun!
