How to Make DIY Sensory Bottles
Step 1. To make the first bottle, we will need to soak our water beads. Read the instructions on your package to determine how long your beads will need to soak.
As you can see from the picture, the soaking process really makes a difference when it comes to the size of your beads. The full size of my beads are .4” wide after soaking.
Separate your beads into different color sections depending on your preferences. This is a time-consuming step but will be well worth it when you see how great it looks in the bottle!
Step 2. Now, let’s add our water beads to the first bottle. Add a funnel to your bottle and start dropping the beads in.
Step 3. Start with your first color and then add the rest in layers.
Step 4. Now, add water to fill your bottle up.
Step 5. Next, add glue to your bottle’s lid, place it on your bottle, and let it dry.
Step 6. Your first bottle is complete. Enjoy!
Step 7. For the second bottle, start by filling the bottle up ¼ of the way with water.
Step 8. Then, pour glue into the bottle, but don’t fill it up all the way.
We need to leave room for beads and sequins.
Step 9. Start adding beads to the bottle.
Step 10. You can also add sequins, glitter, crystals, and confetti.
Step 11. The bigger and heavier beads will fall to the bottom, while the others will float in between the top and bottom for a beautiful look.
Pour more glue into the bottle, almost to the top.
Then, add glue to the bottle lid, place it back on the bottle, and let it dry. Your second bottle is finished.
Have fun!
Step 12. Let’s start making our third bottle in the same way that we started the first. To do this, fill your bottle up ¼ of the way with water and then pour some glue into the bottle.
Step 13. Now, add some food coloring.
Step 14. Let the food color drizzle down into the bottle. Don’t you think this process is so satisfying to watch?
Step 15. Now, add a lot of glitter, along with sequins and confetti.
Step 16. Finally, pour more glue into the bottle almost to the top. Glue the lid on, let it dry, and enjoy!
How Long Do These DIY Sensory Bottles Take to Make?
These sensory bottles are quick and easy to make. Assembling each one takes only about 10 minutes.
Be sure to factor in the time it takes to soak the water beads, which is usually a few hours. Separating the beads into colored sections takes about a half hour.
Overall, this is a fast and fun project!
