*or pillow stuffing
How to Make DIY Frog Squishy
Step 1. To start, get your green construction paper and some markers. Use your black marker to draw a frog face and body as shown.
Step 2. Now, cut your frog out. Cut the eyes out to separate them from the body.
Step 3. Next, take your oval-shaped frog body and place it back onto the green construction paper. Trace it so that you create another identically sized oval.
These will become the front and back pieces of your squishy. Cut your second oval out.
Step 4. Now, draw a small, oval-shaped belly for your frog on your white paper. Cut it out.
Step 5. Next, get some more green construction paper and cut out a long strip about .5” wide. The length of this strip depends on how big your frog is.
You can cut out a long strip and trim it later if necessary.
Step 6. Now, get your transparent self-adhesive sheet. Peel off the top layer of paper about halfway and slide the front piece of the frog’s body between the adhesive layer and the white part.
Remember to add the white oval belly before sealing the adhesive layer.
Step 7. Cut around the frog’s body in an oval shape as shown.
Step 8. Next, make small fringe-like cuts all around the white part.
Step 9. Now, turn it over and peel off the white part.
Step 10. Next, get your long green strip and place it along the curved edge of the frog’s body. Use the fringe cut pieces to secure the green strip to the frog’s body.
When you are done adding your green strip all around your frog’s body, you should be left with a bowl-like shape.
Step 11. Now, let’s do the same for the back of the frog’s body by repeating steps 6, 7, and 8. To do this, get another transparent self-adhesive sheet and slide the back of your frog in between the adhesive layer and the white part.
Cut it out so that you have a white oval shape around the back of your frog’s green body. Then, add your fringe-like cuts.
Step 12. Next, peel off most of the white part at the back but leave a little bit of white at the top as shown.
Step 13. Now, use your fringe-like cuts on the self-adhesive sheet to attach the back part of the body to the front part of the body.
Step 14. The white part that we left at the top gives us an opening to add stuffing.
Step 15. Get your plastic bag or toy stuffing and insert it inside your frog.
Step 16. Then, peel off the white piece of paper and seal your frog with the stuffing inside.
Step 17. It’s time for the finishing touches! Get your eyes and repeat step 7 with them.
Slide them between a small piece of self-adhesive paper and cut them out.
Step 18. Finally, peel off the white parts and attach your eyes at the top of your frog’s body. Your cute frog squishy is complete!
