Instructions

  • Start by making a petal. To do this, take two pipe cleaners and bend them in the middle.
  • You should have an upside down “V” shape.
  • Now, get another pipe cleaner and put it in the middle of your “V” shape.
  • Bend this pipe cleaner in the middle so that its two ends are sticking up. When you are done with this step, you should have two pipe cleaner ends sticking up and four pointing downwards.
  • Twist the upper pipe cleaner twice tightly.
  • Move the two ends that are sticking up next to the others.
  • When you are done, they should all be pointing downwards.
  • Take one of the outer pipe cleaners and wrap it tightly around the rest of the pipe cleaners.
To form it into a tulip shape, bend all the pipe cleaners together in one direction.
Cut off any excess pipe cleaner.
  • Repeat this process to make 5-6 petals in total.
  • Now, make a leaf. To do this, we will repeat the process of making the petals.
  • Start by forming a “V” shape with two pipe cleaners and then adding another one in the middle.
Bend this third pipe cleaner so that two ends of pipe cleaner are sticking up and four are pointed down.
  • Move all the pipe cleaner ends down.
  • Wrap one of the outer pipe cleaners tightly around the rest of them. Repeat this process to make a second petal.
  • To make a tulip cup, add glue to one petal.
  • Glue it to the barbecue stick.
  • Add another petal to the stick as shown.
  • Glue another petal onto the stick as shown.
  • Now, make an outer layer of petals.
  • Fill in and hide the gaps with your petals.
  • Your tulip cup is finished.
  • Wrap your stick with a green pipe cleaner.
  • Keep going until you are about halfway down the stick. Add your leaves and then wrap the pipe cleaner around them to secure them.
  • Keep wrapping your pipe cleaner until the entire barbecue stick is wrapped.
  • Repeat the steps to make as many tulips as you would like for your bouquet.
  • Finally, lay out your tissue paper.
Add your tulips on top and wrap them up. Secure your tulip bouquet with a ribbon and it is ready!
