DIY Squishy Soap

This easy and kid-friendly project creates soft, moldable soap that makes washing hands exciting. Learn how to make your own squishy soap at home!

Materials 

Instructions 

  • Add 3/4 of a cup of cornstarch to your bowl.
  • Then, add 4 teaspoons of your sweet almond oil.
  • Now, pour in ΒΌ of a cup of thick liquid soap.
  • Next, add a little bit of food coloring.
  • Stir your mixture together well with your spoon.
    If it feels too stretchy, add a little cornstarch. If it feels too hard, add some soap to soften it up.
  • Use your hands to knead the dough. The consistency should be soft and squishy.
  • Your soap is ready! To use it, you can roll the whole soap in your wet hands as you would with a bar of soap.
  • Alternatively, you can break off a tiny piece of soap and use that to wash your hands.
  • If you are interested in making marble soap, you can easily do this with two colors of squishy soap.
  • For marble soap, you can follow all the steps as listed and then combine two squishy balls of dough once they have been kneaded.
