Instructions

  • Begin making your DIY Foam Dough by pouring and measuring your shave foam. To do this, squeeze your shave foam into a measuring cup.
We will need 1 cup of shave foam in total.
  • Now, pour the cup of shave foam into your mixing bowl. Then, add a few drops of food coloring.
  • Mix the shaving foam and food coloring together well using your spoon. Keep mixing until the food coloring is well-incorporated.
  • Now, add the cornstarch to the bowl. You will need ½ cup of cornstarch in total.
If you are increasing the recipe, keep in mind that the ratio of cornstarch to shave foam is 1:2.
Use your spoon to stir the mixture together well. It should start to get firm.
If it is too sticky or wet, add some more cornstarch. If it is too dry, add a little bit more shave foam.
  • You should now be able to pick it up in your hand without having it stick too much. Put it back in the bowl and add more cornstarch if it is too sticky to handle.
  • Make sure that it is a nice firm consistency before beginning to play with it.
  • Once it’s ready, start playing! You can use cookie cutters, play or plastic knives, and more to make it more fun!
  • To store, put the foam dough into an airtight container in the fridge. It will eventually dry out and you will need to make a new batch, but in the meantime, you and your kids will have plenty of fun playing with your foam dough!
