  • Tear off a piece of clay.
  • Use your hands to soften the clay and roll it out. It should be about 5mm thickness.
  • Cut out shapes using your cookie cutters and smooth out the edges.
  • Fix cracks by dipping your finger in water and brushing the cracks out.
  • You can also cut out shapes using an X-acto knife.
  • To join two pieces, make small irregular cuts on both pieces, moisten them with water, and press them together.
Then, use your finger as a tool to smooth out the joining line so that the two pieces fit seamlessly together.
  • This shows how to attach the different parts of the strawberry together.
  • When you connect the two pieces together using your finger to smooth out the joining line, it will look like one piece.
  • You can use a special tool to make indentations in the clay.
  • It is also fun to add letters to your magnets using stamps.
  • I made eyes for the star.
  • You can customize your magnets any way you want!
  • Let the clay dry.
  • Once your magnets are completely dry, you can paint them.
  • Paint each one and let them dry.
  • You can add faces, play with color, and decorate your magnets however you want.
