Make a stack with the four coffee filters. Flatten them out and fold the stack in half.
Fold it in half again.
Fold it in half again. You should have a small triangle.
Hold the stack together and cut in a curved fashion around the top of your triangle to make the petals.
Unfold your filters to reveal your flower shapes. Separate them into two stacks, with two filters in each stack.
Decorate your flowers.
Cover both stacks of flowers with water and wait for them to dry.
Check on your flowers to see if they have dried.
The dried filters should have beautifully blended colors.
Take one stack of flowers. Place a finger in the center so that you are holding both filters together.
Using your other hand, twist the top layer upward to make a bundle. Gently pinch and twist the bottom of the bundle.
When you are done, you should have a pointed end at the bottom of your flower bundle.
Do the same thing with the other stack.
Hold the two bundles together by the pointed bottoms.
Flip your flower bundle upside down so that you are holding it with the pointed bottom side up.
Wrap the pipe cleaner around the pointed bottom until the entire point is covered with a few tight loops.
You can now add a little bit of glue to the pipe cleaner wrapping with a hot glue gun for added security.
The non-wrapped portion of pipe cleaner should be straight to form a stem. Shape the filters into a beautiful full flower.
Your coffee filter flower is complete!
