To start, draw a butterfly on a piece of cardstock.
Now, trace the outline of your butterfly so that you have two lines.
Next, grab your scissors and cut it out.
This butterfly is your template.
As you can see, I made a few different sizes.
Now, place a laminating sheet on your table with the sticky side up. Put the butterfly back side up, front side down, on the sticky sheet.
Decorate your wings.I added some polka dots and some random confetti and glitter. You can decorate your butterfly however you would like.
This blue template is so pretty with glitter and gold polka dots, don’t you think?
This pink one shows another way that you could decorate your butterfly.
Here is another beautiful option in blue and gold.
If you are using glitter, you can press the glitter into the laminating sheet so that it stays put. If you add too much glitter, you can take the butterfly and turn it over to shake some of it off.You can also use a paintbrush to remove the glitter. Now, get another laminating sheet and lay it on top of your butterfly, sticky side down. Press it firmly over your butterfly.
Cut the butterfly out.
You can also add crystals to the front if you want some extra pizzaz.
Your beautiful butterfly suncatcher is complete! Add glue dots on the back to hang it on your window. You could also hang it up on the wall or on furniture. Enjoy!
