Instructions

  • Make the front cover and decorate it.
  • Make a coloring page using a colored piece of paper and a white piece of paper.
Draw your bird design on the white paper.
  • Take another piece of white paper and design your puzzle page.
  • Color it in.
  • Draw a maze game.
  • Draw a Tic Tac Toe board and make game pieces on an extra piece of white paper.
Also create two triangular shaped pockets which will hold the tic tac toe pieces.
  • Draw a girl on one page and then draw her clothes on another to make a dress-up game.
  • Make your back cover.
  • Cover each page with a transparent sheet (do this for all of them except for that first bird drawing since it is a coloring page).
  • Cut off any excess from each page.
  • Gather your movable elements and cover them on both sides using wide tape. Do the same with your puzzle drawing.
  • Plan the order of your pages. Take the front cover and the first page.
Arrange them so that the front cover is facing you and the back of the first page is back-to-back with the back of your front cover.
  • Attach the pages together. Tape three of the sides and leave the top edge open for the stuffing.
  • Add the stuffing inside and close it.
  • Do the same with the rest of your colored pages to make them squishy.
  • Make the backbone of the book. Take your squishy pages and measure the width of the spine by picking up all your squishy pages together and placing a piece of white paper underneath them.
On the paper, mark how wide the book will be. Cut at the marking, trimming the excess so that your spine is the appropriate size.
  • Decorate the spine. Attach both covers to the spine as shown using tape.
Now, take each squishy page and attach them to the spine.
  • It’s time for the finishing touches. For the coloring page, take your drawing and attach it to the colored page.
  • For the tic-tac-toe board, cut out your puzzle pieces and pockets. Add the small pockets on either side of the board.
  • Add double sided tape or snail tape to each of your game pieces.
  • Insert them into the pockets.
  • For the dress-up game, add tape to the back of each piece and arrange them onto the extra colored page as shown.
  • Cut your puzzle drawing into pieces. Use snail glue or double-sided tape to make the pieces sticky.
Arrange the pieces randomly so that the puzzle can be put together. Your book is complete.
