Instructions

  • Fold one side of your paper to the 1/3 mark.
  • Line up your pinky with the folded edge and trace your hand.
  • When you are done tracing, grab your scissors.
  • Cut your handprint out, being careful not to cut along the folded edge.
  • Your cut-out handprint is the main body of your flamingo. Your fingers are the feathers!
  • Be sure that your handprint opens and closes.
  • Draw your flamingo’s beak, head, and neck.
  • Draw one long straight leg and another bent leg.
  • Cut out the beak, head, neck, and legs.
  • Attach the flamingo’s neck to the handprint body using your glue stick.
  • Glue the legs at the back of the flamingo’s body.
  • Time to glue on your flamingo’s googly eye.
  • Now, write your personalized message. Your flamingo card is all finished!

Notes

*You can use smaller sized paper. A3 or A4 would work but you will need several sheets to have enough paper for the legs, the long neck and head, and the main body.
I prefer size A2 for this craft because I was able to easily draw all the body parts on one sheet.
