Instructions

  • Cut out a corner cup from your egg carton. Trim the egg cup so that it has a smooth, rounded edge.
  • Paint the cup with either yellow or orange acrylic paint. You need to let the paint completely dry. Then, add another coat. Once that coat has dried, you can move onto the next step or you can complete Steps 3 and 4 while you are waiting for the paint to dry.
  • Cut three pieces of tissue paper into rectangles or squares. Use two small pieces for the fins and one long one for the tail. You do not need to measure these.
  • Fold each of your tissue paper pieces in half. Twist each one in the middle and then scrunch and fluff the tissue paper.
  • Make a small slit at the back of your egg cup and place the tail in there.
  • Then glue the fins onto the egg cup.
  • Now, glue your white pom poms onto your fish to start the eyes and then take the smaller black ones to complete the eyes. Finally, we will make the mouth.
  • Wrap your pink pipe cleaner around your finger twice to make a circle. This will be your fish’s mouth. Glue it onto your goldfish’s face and enjoy your adorable new goldfish!
