The Supplies You’ll Need to Make this Flower Pot:

White terracotta plant potyou should have no problem getting one online. However, you could pop into your local shop for this one too. Feel free to use a different color if you want to play with that.

Green jute twineyou could also go with any other color of your choice. However, green works best with most plants.

Natural jute twinethat’s something you just want to have in your cupboard! There is so much you can do with a bit of twine!

Hot glue gun – a hot glue gun will be a life-saver for any craft out there. So you want to get one that will last you for years.

How to Make a Yarn-Wrapped DIY Flower Pot

Step 1:

Glue the end of the green jute twine to the bottom of the vase. Make sure you hold the twine one the glue until it gets dry and sticks to it. You don’t need to use a lot of glue to make it happen.

Step 2:

Continue wrapping the twine around the vase. Make sure you add glue every couple of rows. However, you don’t need to cover the whole vase with glue.

Just make sure you wrap the twine around the terracotta pot tightly.

Step 3:

Repeat the process with the natural jute twine! Nice glue the end of the twine to the vase, so it’s nicely secured.

Materials

  • White terracotta plant pot
  • Green jute twine
  • Natural jute twine

Tools

  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Start with gluing the end of the string to the bottom of the vase. Place the twine on the glue, then hold it until the glue gets dry, and the twine stays in place.

Why do you call this yarn wrapped when you use jute twine? Could be confusing for some. It is attractive!
